So...

So, I am going to try my hand at this blogging thing. These days it seems like everyone has one. It does seem the ultimate way to reach heaps of family and friends all at once (Although part of me thinks an e-mail cc'd to many people would do the same trick).

These are certainly interesting times we live in. The information age!
We are all dying to put our lives out there for the world to see, but then develop these massive privacy issues when we realise someone might actually be reading it. I mean, the horror of it all. Perhaps the ostrich method that the folks of previous generations follow is truely better in that sense. No one will know the intricasies of your life if you don't stick all those details out there on the World Wide Web. I do think that with everything there is risk and reward.... putting your life on the wb is no different. The reward... friends and family are all able to see how you and yours are doing. The risk... some unsavoury character may stumble across your revelations. This risk and reward has to be weighed against eachother to ultimately determine whether it is worth it to put those stories and facts out there.

Hey welcome to blog world. And let me hopefully be the first to say so.

I still find the myself a little anxious at putting my life out there. But I guess no risk no reward applies.

I have found blogging to be a great way to put things into perspect, much like a diary or a journal.

Its also quite gratifying to find that there a a lot of people on the world that are very much like you.

Enjoy the journey
