A fun post

Well, since I was "tagged" by Just Brian, here goes...

Go to Wikipedia, and type in the month and day of your birth (no year). Then list 3 events, 2 birthdays and 1 death.
I too will comment where I think appropriate :-)

EVENTS
1908 - United States Attorney General Charles Joseph Bonaparte issues an order to immediately staff the Office of the Chief Examiner (later renamed the Federal Bureau of Investigation). Charles Joseph Bonaparte (June 9, 1851 – June 28, 1921) was a grandson of Jérôme Bonaparte (the youngest brother of the French emperor Napoleon I), and a member of the United States Cabinet.

That's kind off cool isn't it? The start of one of the most famous law organizations in the world.

1948 - André Marie becomes Prime Minister of France. André Marie (December 3, 1897 - June 12, 1974) was a French Radical politician who served as Prime Minister during the Fourth Republic in 1948.

This has absolutely no bearing on my life, other than the fact that I had a massive crush on a guy named Andre when I was younger. He wasn't French, and he wasn't a politician.

1971 - Apollo Program: Apollo 15 Mission - Launch of Apollo 15. Apollo 15 was the ninth manned mission in the Apollo program and the fourth mission to land on the Moon. It was the first of what were termed J missions — long duration stays on the Moon with a greater focus on science than had been possible on previous missions.

Angotull loves all things space orientated, so I figure it's pretty cool that they have launched space ships on my birthday.

BIRTHS
George Bernard Shaw (born 26 July 1856, Dublin, Ireland died November 2, 1950, Hertfordshire, England) was an Irish writer. Famed as a playwright, he wrote more than sixty plays. He was uniquely honoured by being awarded both a Nobel Prize (1925) for his contribution to literature and an Oscar (1938) for Pygmalion. He was a strong advocate for socialism and women's rights, a vegetarian and teetotaller, and a harsh critic of formal education. Shaw died in 1950 at the age of 94.

We've all heard of him, haven't we :-)

Carl Gustav Jung (IPA: [ˈkarl ˈgʊstaf ˈjʊŋ]) (July 26, 1875, Kesswil – June 6, 1961, Küsnacht) was a Swiss psychiatrist, influential thinker, and founder of analytical psychology.

Jung's unique and broadly influential approach to psychology has emphasized understanding the psyche through exploring the worlds of dreams, art, mythology, world religion and philosophy. Although he was a theoretical psychologist and practicing clinician for most of his life, much of his life's work was spent exploring other realms including Eastern and Western philosophy, alchemy, astrology, sociology, as well as literature and the arts. His most notable contributions include his concept of the psychological archetype, the collective unconscious, and his theory of synchronicity.

I read a book about Tarot that referenced a lot of his writings. I found it very though provoking.

Sir Michael Phillip "Mick" Jagger (born 26 July 1943) is an English rock musician, actor, songwriter, record and film producer and businessman. He is best known as the lead singer of the rock 'n' roll band The Rolling Stones.

Need I say more? He is a music icon, has been since I was a child :-)

DEATH
Maria Eva Duarte de Perón (May 7, 1919 – July 26, 1952) was the second wife of Argentine President Juan Domingo Perón (1895–1974) and the First Lady of Argentina from 1946 until her death in 1952. She is often referred to as simply Eva Perón, or by the Spanish language diminutive Evita, which translates into English as "Little Eva".

I have always loved the song "Don't cry for me Argentina", so it is logical to me to make her the one death for my date.

Love this post. I am a big believer in sychronicity. I see it too often for it not to exist.

Love the Stones, or is that getting stoned ;-)

I am still irked that Madonna did not get an Oscar for her portrayal of Evita in the movie.

Wooo Hooo glad you think bald men are sexy :-)
